Defining Moment

"Who are you, Lord?" he said.  "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied.  "But get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."                Acts 9:5-6

Saul was a very accomplished leader among the Pharisees, but it was an encounter with Jesus that became the defining moment in his life.  Everything changed for Saul from that moment forward, including his name.  He went on to write, I also consider everything to be a loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.  Because of Him I have suffered the loss of all things" (Phil 3:8).  Paul went on to become the great Apostle and began preaching Christ as fervently as he once persecuted Jesus' followers.
We all have moments that define and shape our lives; however, our lives should ultimately be defined by our relationship with Jesus, just as Paul's was, because that is what shapes not only our life on earth, but also our eternity.  Like Paul, the moment we trust Christ, our lives here and beyond, will never be the same.

I was happier than I looked although my back was killing me for about 2 weeks.  At least everyone else looked wonderful.  It was before Wyman went on stage for his Independence day show.

I love watching my kids ride bikes.  I am so happy we moved to the apartment where we have roads around us to ride.

Uncle Luis helps Grace at the cavern "Tres Oyos". Luis has been such a blessing to our family and the ministry.

This was such a beautiful site at the cavern in Santo Domingo.

Eliezer came all the way from Pedernales in order to spend some time with us and grab some Bibles.  Looking forward to heading out to Pedernales in April.

Our new friends.  Emilio works at the Highlands and asked Jodi to take a few family pictures.  We had dinner at their house in San Pedro and they came to our place for pictures and pizza.

Craig preaching in San Jose.  What a blessing to partner with Craig and Joanna from SCORE International in San Jose.

The Chicas in San Jose worshipping the Lord.

Grace is now truly a Dominican.  She walks around everywhere without shoes and socks.  Lots of feet washing before bed.
